Standard Cassette System
Our Cassette System is a robust mounting solution crafted from RAL 7035 powder coated 304 Stainless Steel. Designed for cabinet mounting, it offers exceptional protection against corrosion and degradation. With its heavy-duty construction, you can trust that there will be no flexing in the cassette while operating monitors or controllers equipped with a shutdown button.

Designed with a 30 degree sloping front when mounted to a cabinet / gas cabinet this makes it ideal to easily see and operate our units, including a neoprene rubber gasket on the mating face between the cassette and the controller / monitor and an earth bonding stud to the rear. These have been perfectly manufactured for our controllers and monitors, the cassette can also be mounted upside down for mounting to a low level cabinet like a VMB in which case the monitor / controller front will slope up 30 degrees.
Space Saver Cassette

Struggling for height above your cabinet ?
No Problem !
One of our customers had height restriction issues preventing a standard Cassette from being able to be installed, so to overcome this we developed our Space Saver Cassette to enable our monitors and controllers to be installed in these situations. Please check to ensure that you have at least 45mm clearance between the top of your cabinet and the opening cabinet door.
Please Note that if you are requiring to stack units then the top Cassette will need to be a Standard Variant Cassette which will require a total height of 301mm for a pair of units stacked
Manufactured in our standard RAL7035 powder coated Stainless Steel The Space Saver Cassette is also able to accommodate our selection of intermediate inter-connection brackets as detailed below for all of your custom retrofit requirements when replacing your generic equipment.

GSU Controllers shown for example but the same mounting for ACU2 and ALU Range of monitors
With our controllers and monitors often being used to retrofit or replace generic equipment we can also provide you with a range of intermediate inter-connection brackets, this is aimed to eliminate your downtime when it comes to replacing your equipment and also removes the need to replace all of your existing sensors, if we are given the information of your existing connecting plugs / sockets we can utilize our most suitable retrofit brackets and even fully wire / pneumatically pipe between the bracket and your new controller monitor so that all you need to basically do is bolt our complete cassette to your cabinet and plug your existing sensor plugs into the back, this can practically be a 10 minute job !
If your existing or new sensor cables are long enough and do not require a certain inter-connecting plug type you can simply feed your sensor wires through the included cable glands and wire them straight into the inputs without the need of an inter-connection bracket.

In this example one of our customers wanted to replace some existing controllers that were fitted to their gas cabinets that were installed in the 1990's, their facility had many of these and with this all of their sensors in their gas cabinets were plugged into their existing controllers with certain connection plugs/pins, so buying a new controller presented possible further expense replacing / re-wiring existing sensors for the new controller and also the labour time and down time in doing this, but not with Designed Electronics ! We were able to supply our customer with a fully wired interconnection cassette bracket in which they simply unplugged the sensors from their old controller, unbolted it from their gas cabinet, bolted our new unit in its place and plugged in their existing sensor plugs straight in - DONE !

The savings to you using this method when replacing existing generic equipment far outweighs the expense of replacing / re-wiring sensors, labour time and downtime.
When you order one of our monitors / controllers without a cassette option you will receive a standard wall mounting kit in the box

Our Cassette mounting system has also been designed to be mounted side by side or stackable, this makes it ideal for interconnectivity as you can add whichever combination or multiples of that you require whether it be a single controller or inter-connected controllers. If you require more inputs add an ALU if you require valve or relay control add a GSU or if you require automatic changeover add an ACU, this makes your installation completely expandable and dedicated to suit your exact requirements.
Side by side mounting (cassette bracket has been designed to still allow you access to the On/Off switch if required)
You can mix and match any combination of monitor / controller to match your system requirements, You can start with a single monitor, If you need to safely control a pneumatic valve / solenoid valve / relay use a GSU, if you require automatic changeover add an ACU, and if you require more digital inputs add the relevant ALU for your requirements.
Stackable mounting
When ordering units with our Cassette mounting solution we will supply all of the relevant screws / nuts / washers for your installation. With over 30 years experience working with installation companies we aim to make installation as easy as possible and we always use this knowledge when it comes to design.
If you require any help or advice at all please do not hesitate to contact us, we are more than happy to help and we will listen to your needs and guide you to your best possible solution.
Always mount your controller with the Shutdown button at the bottom.
You may want to consider a Shutdown button on the front of your gas cabinet (to be wired into your controller)
When stacking Cassette brackets you also have a choice of overhang to suit the equipment you are mounting them to, the cassette brackets have a choice of through-holes that you can choose to use
The top of our cassette brackets have a sturdy flat surface for you to mount other equipment that you may also own

Position 1
With this method there is no overhang,
The brackets are secured together with 4 x 6mm Hex screws with large flanged nuts (which are supplied with the kit)

Position 2
(recommended overhang)
With this method the countersunk screws securing the bottom of the hex pillars on the top unit cassette bracket need to be removed and are replaced by the 6mm hex screws supplied in the kit and are to be pushed through the top of the bottom cassette bracket into the hex pillars
