Inter-Connection Enclosures

Depending on your install you may encounter various wiring difficulties, for example you may find that your sensor wires are too short to reach your Designed Electronics unit which can result in labour intensive extending of each sensor, for this reason we offer you a custom Interconnection Enclosure which can be mounted in a convenient location, Our Interconnection enclosures are custom made to your requirements and so cater for your required sensor wiring requirements, We also include a full wiring diagram on the inside of the opening front for easy wiring reference.

These enclosures as with all of our enclosures can be standard wall mounted with the included wall mounting kit or cassette mounted (See Mounting Solutions Page)

You can also simply unclip the front of the enclosure fully to further aid your wiring reference while you are installing the unit and then clip it back into place when you are finished.

If you are also ordering cable from us we can also pre-wire into monitors/controllers for you prior to dispatch if you wish, but we do supply all wiring information as shown above to make this as easy for you as possible for doing this yourself.

We fit Schneider Emergency Shutdown Buttons to our units

these are very high quality ultra reliable safety devices which have a strong shutdown operation

Shutdown Button Shroud

You may also require a shutdown button shroud to be fitted if your unit is being installed somewhere the shutdown button may be easily pressed or you want to upgrade your safety options, our shutdown button shrouds are made of high quality metal construction.

Shroud Padlock

If you require a Shutdown Button Shroud you may also require a shroud padlock for that extra safety element.

If you are performing maintenance on your equipment / gas equipment it is good practice to ensure that your gas process valve/relay can not be opened and the way of doing this is to press the Shutdown Button in and then placing a padlock into the holes in the shroud - this will prevent the valve/relay from opening keeping your operators safe. it is usual practice for the site supervisor to be the keyholder and to generate the associated safety protocols regarding safety / padlocks / key.

Padlocks are available either with a random cut key or matching keylocks.
